Ingredients

  • 1 cup White whole wheat Flour or All purpose
  • 1 Ripe banana mashed(medium size)
  • 1/ 2 tbsp Cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp Baking soda
  • 1 Egg (large)
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/3 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp Vanilla
  • 1/4 cup Melted butter or oil
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • Nutmeg (a pinch)

For the Dark Chocolate:

  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp Milk cream
  • Salt (as required since you have added before)
  • 1/2 tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tbsp Espresso powder (optional)

Instructions

Steps for Baking Banana Donuts:

    Making of Batter:

    • Take a large and medium-sized bowl to mix the ingredients separately and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
    • Whisk the banana, sugar, egg, yogurt and vanilla in the large bowl and pour the melted butter or oil to easily combine the ingredients.
    • Now in a medium-sized bowl add flour, cinnamon powder, nutmeg, salt, baking soda and powder and whisk continuously.
    • Now put this dry ingredient into the wet and stir well. Make sure you don’t over mix it or else the batter will become thick and hard when served.
    • In the greased donut cavities spoon the batter or if you find it difficult make a pastry bag and cut the corner and fill them.
    • Be sure to fill the cavities about 2/3 or else you can’t make the hole at the end.
    • Since the oven is preheated bake it for about 10 min. Then open and check whether the donut has raised browned edges. If not, let it bake for 1-2 min extra.
    • Take them outside and keep them aside to cool on a baking sheet for 3 min.

    Making of Glaze:

    • Take a microwave safe bowl and add chocolate, oil, heavy cream, salt and stir well and heat for 30 sec. Then add vanilla and espresso powder into the melted chocolate and whisk until it forms glossy.
    • After that, take the donut and dip in the chocolate glaze one by one. Sprinkle the top with crushed sugar to increase the taste.
    • Your donut is ready to serve now.
